Matrix Networks teams across Northampton, Slough and Warrington are celebrating National Best Companies to Work for Day today (Friday 1stMarch), after receiving a 2-star accreditation in the 2019 ‘Best Companies to Work For’ survey.
The utility infrastructure business was ranked as a company with ’Outstanding levels of workplace engagement’ – this was based on its Best Companies Index (BCI) score from the Best Companies survey, measuring how engaged people are at work and how they feel about their employer.
Surveys were issued in late 2018 by Best Companies to Matrix Networks’ employees based at its three offices and the results of this feedback, which were received from 76% of invitees, were then considered alongside information gathered about the business, to determine an overall BCI score.
“This is the first time we’ve taken part in a national employee engagement survey and we’re immensely proud to have achieved a 2-star accreditation,” said Rob Sparkes, Matrix Networks Managing Director. “As we said in our submission, we employ people who have the right skills to do the job, but it’s equally important that they’re a good match for the culture of our business.
“We like to think we’re a good company to work for, so it’s nice to know our employees agree and so does this national accreditation body.”
Jonathan Austin, CEO & Founder of Best Companies, added: “I would like to congratulate Matrix Networks on its achievement. Best Companies has been producingthe Accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Organisations like Matrix Networks have continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a best company to work for.”
In addition to the Best Companies Accreditation, Matrix Networks was independently recognised in 2018 by the London Stock Exchange Group in its ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report. The Company is also shortlisted as a finalist in the 2019 Construction News Specialist Awards as ‘Specialist Contractor of the Year (Turnover up to £25m)’.
Matrix Networks is an industrial and commercial multi-utility Independent Connections Provider (ICP), servicing UK developers, main contractors, and consultants. The Company is accredited under CHAS and Altius, as well as Lloyd’s Register WIRS, GIRS and NERS schemes.
