Matrix Networks sets out new Authorisation Procedures

As a responsible and compliant Independent Connections Provider (ICP), Matrix Networks has updated its Authorisation Procedures for direct labour and subcontractors involved in the construction of gas, electric and water works on behalf of the Company.

The update follows a similar process which was carried out for its Supplier and Subcontractor Approval Procedure earlier this year, with the objective of ensuring all works are carried out effectively and only by authorised personnel.

Specifically, the updated Procedure aims to:

• Ensure all staff and operatives working on Matrix Networks’ contracts are competent
• Properly identify responsible persons for each activity
• Ensure the right information is available at the time it’s needed
• Remove any duplication of effort
• Simplify Matrix Networks’ delivery procedures where possible
• Ensure Matrix Networks is consistently compliant with NERS, GIRS and WIRS requirements.

As part of the Authorisation Procedure review, Matrix Networks has also updated its Subcontractor Approval Guidance Note and Operative Application Forms which cover all aspects of its work across electrics, civils, gas and water.

Mark Rostron, Matrix Networks Standards Engineer, has been responsible for the delivery of this project. He said: “Our business is successful because we set our standards high.
