Andy joined the Board in August 2020. He’s a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the design construction and maintenance of infrastructure in the utilities, transport, property waste and defence sectors in the UK and overseas.
Rob Sparkes
Chief Executive Officer – Matrix Group
As CEO, Rob’s focus is set on opening up new markets for Matrix Group. He started his career as a craft apprentice more than 20 years ago and now works with our clients and employees to improve how utility infrastructure is designed, installed and adopted.
Adam Lilley
Chief Financial Officer – Matrix Group
Adam is a qualified Chartered Accountant with senior management experience gained working in corporate finance for large organisations both in the UK and overseas. More recently Adam has worked in private equity finance with a particular focus on the construction and utilities sector, setting him in good stead for driving the future growth of Matrix Group.
James Smith
Managing Director – Matrix Networks
James has worked at Matrix since the business was founded. His expertise lies in operations, but he has a keen eye for ways in which we can innovate and as Managing Director, is focussed on working with our employees to help Matrix Networks achieve its longer term objectives.
Paul Beck
Sales Director – Matrix Group
Having held similar senior roles in leading businesses in the UK and overseas, Paul is responsible for leading Matrix’s sales and business development growth.
Wendy Andrews
Commercial Director – Matrix Group
As Commercial Director, Wendy is responsible for all commercial procedures associated with our projects, including tendering, budgeting, design, contract negotiations and procurement of land rights.
Neil Walsh
Major Projects Director
As an experienced professional in the utility infrastructure industry, Neil is Major Projects Director. Neil’s in depth knowledge of our business, our people and our projects, ensures we continue to deliver on time on budget and to the satisfaction of our customers.
Simon Spencer
SHEQ Director – Matrix Group
Simon heads up our SHEQ team. Focussed on delivering the commitments of our Think Safe Work Safe Home Safe campaign, Simon’s priority is to ensure safety is front of mind for all employees, all of the time, and is responsible for challenging the business on every aspect of the SHEQ agenda.
Chris Hollis-Thompson
Technical Director – Matrix Group
Chris is an Incorporated Engineer with 17 years’ experience in electrical distribution networks. He’s worked at Matrix since 2009 when he joined as an Electrical Design Engineer. Now as Technical Director, Chris is exploring the impact of new technologies on utility infrastructure industry.
